Trusting us with your private personal information.
As with anything policy, it is filled with mutual protection. Expectedly, the formal version of our privacy policy is filled with necessary legalese and serves as a critical piece in maintaining your trust, and reducing risk and liability for us both. You can access our formal policy here (and please don’t be fooled or turned off by “free”): https://www.freeprivacypolicy.com/live/d16e9a74-6cca-4e5a-93d0-ef79db19386a
Your protection in a nutshell.
Personal data we collect is minimal, not shared, and securely stored.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect only your first name and email address. This information is only ever used to send you information about our company. You always have the option to “Unsubscribe” from our mailing list at any time.
We do not share or sell your information to anyone outside of our company.
Your information is held securely on a separate stand-alone drive that is not connected to the internet in any way. This separate drive is held in a secure place in our office and inaccessible by anyone who is not an officer of the company.
Your information is YOUR information.
You can request to know, see and/or correct any of your personal information that is held in our trust. Send an email to heather@workfactors.ca with your request and we will respond within 1-2 business days of receiving your request.
As mentioned above, you can “Unsubscribe” from our mailer at any time. We will further scrub our database to ensure all of your personal information is removed. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
In the highly unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify you immediately about the issue, its impact, and what we are doing to rectify the situation.
Your behaviour is your behaviour and you are still protected.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
And just because you comment on one of our posts, it doesn’t automatically place you on our mailing list. To do that, you will need to opt-in, and the link is on our main site and Blog Page.
Just a head’s up.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Your comfort with us matters.
This concludes our nutshell of what we consider critical privacy protection information. If, however, you feel we have missed anything vital on this page or in our formal policy https://www.freeprivacypolicy.com/live/d16e9a74-6cca-4e5a-93d0-ef79db19386a , please let us know.
